The second phase of the construction of the "Industrial and Logistics Park - Burgas" is ready. The supply and internal infrastructure in the "South-West" Industrial Zone are fully completed, street lighting, sewage, high-speed internet, and other communications have been built.
The Phase 2 plots are located near the Burgas shipyards and the road connection to the Meden Rudnik residential area. The total area of the plot amounts to 600 decares. At the moment, a total of 8 companies have been attracted to the site, one of which has already started construction activities on its production facilities, and the remaining 7 are in the design and preparation stage of the plots. Investors are already showing interest in the remaining plots - 9 in number, whose area varies from 11 to 75 decares.
While the Northern Industrial Zone is primarily aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises, the new South-West Zone offers opportunities for the development of larger, eco-friendly production facilities.
"The construction of the new zone was not an easy process at all. Both in the first phase and in the second, the terrains initially represented swampy and unusable spaces that had to be filled with earth masses and strengthened, so that they could subsequently become attractive plots for investors with a fully developed modern infrastructure," said Mayor Dimitar Nikolov.
The length of the newly built and reconstructed street network in the industrial zone is over 5,350 kilometers, with the street structure and pavement being sized for "very heavy" traffic, and the necessary street parking has been allocated. Over 3.6 km. of bicycle lanes, 4.7 km. of storm sewers, 3.8 km. of sewage for domestic wastewater, 3.3 km of water supply network, sewer pumping station and BKTP have been built. The new technical infrastructure also includes street lighting, a pipe network for high-current and low-current networks and video surveillance.
During the construction and repair activities, Targovska Street was also completely renovated - a main transport and infrastructure corridor that connects the entire industrial zone with one of the main city boulevards - Zahari Stoyanov Blvd.
Additionally, a local roadway was built, located parallel to Todor Aleksandrov Street, which provides additional convenient access to the industrial zone after the roundabout at the exit to Sozopol.
The large-scale project was implemented by the Municipality of Burgas and "Industrial and Logistics Park Burgas" AD under the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan.
